Sweet Hill Yurt
The Location
A sunny glade hidden amongst the conifers. Absolute privacy. The DREAM playground for wild loving kids (NOT on a hill, but the original field name!) For our regulars...this is The Single Yurt!
Suitable For
A couple, a family or small group of friends (cosy). Those after simplicity and a real woodland adventure. Foxes, badgers and deer are your only neighbours
What's Inside
Very simply furnished
- Slimline mattresses, a small low table and couple of stools
- A woodburner
- A wooden chest of crockery
What's Outside
- A rustic outdoor kitchen with cold water tap and gas hob
- Basic pots, pans and cooking utensils
- Fireplace equipped for outdoor cooking
- Picnic bench
- Private compost loo (view a view)
- Simple 'heat your own water' shower (amongst the trees overlooking the rolling hills)
- Cold water tap...all water is from the farm bore hole, safe and delicious to drink
- A saw horse and bow saw...plenty to scavenge from the wood to get the fire going

- Loo Roll
- An open mind to the Great British weather
What Not To Bring
Not too much food! The farm shop is full of fresh veg, fruit, meat, dairy and bread from the farm as well as all the groceries, alcohol and household items you could ever need. Delicious homemade ready meals perfect for heating up on the stove or fire. Or treat yourself at the Cafe.
Important Info
- Arrival between 4.30pm - 7pm
- Departure by 11am
- No rubbish facilites. Glass and tin recycling at farm shop
- ! No electricity!
- 2 night minimum stay. 3 night min for bank holidays
- Sorry no dogs, day visitors or amplified music
What To Do Here
- Relax at the yurt and if with kids, let them run free in the wood...we doubt you'll see them until they get hungry
- Amble across the fields to the farm shop to pick up local fresh organic food to take back and cook on the fire
- Walk the farm and it's many woodlands, meeting grazing animals (wild ones too) along the way. Just be sure to stay on the right side of the fence and keep gates closed
- Explore the farm....during the summer there are farm walk, tours and activities. Booking essential.
- Hire eBikes from Cotswold eBikes who are based on the farm and can deliver right to the Huts. Child seats and trailers available. Choose one of the bespoke routes taking in the beautiful Cotswolds with lots of sights, food and watering holes along the way
- Cirencester (Roman capital of the Cotswolds) is 2 miles away and has a brilliant museum, a lido and lots of independent shops to explore
